Art and exhibition installations are an important part of K2 installations extensive portfolio. Including the involvement in a number of high profile projects such as Dismaland and Serpentine Gallery.

The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion

A wall of translucent blocks that has been unzipped to create a curving, cavernous interior.

Described by the Danish architect as "both transparent and opaque, both solid box and blob", this year's Serpentine Gallery Pavilion is designed as a simple wall that has been distorted into a more free-form shape.

The Serpentine Pavilion and Summer Houses 2016 artwork has dismantled one block at a time by K2 installation services. The dismantling of the structure required significant crane and Mewp operations in an area of limited space. The project also incorporated complicated logistics in the numbering, processing, packaging and transport from site area.

The artwork is due to be shipped to pastures new.

ARUP Headquarters- Central London.

Heart of ARUP was installed at the Arup headquarters in central London. This sculpture consists of a configuration cables suspended from a steel A frame which in-turn was connected to a cable winch situated at the atrium ceiling. Attached to the cables were various aluminium strips and polycarbonate opaque screens. Projections of text from the company intranet were displayed on the polycarbonate screens

The structure cascades six levels from the atrium ceiling to the termination point at basement level. The A frame was supported from the atrium winch and the various components assembled on a scaffold deck at first floor level, the completed sections then being raised on the winch for progressive assembly of the lower areas.

Big Rig Jig- Weston-Super-Mare

Artwork by Mike Ross initially on display at Dismaland Weston-Super-Mare

K2 installations were contracted to install the big rig jig as well as the giant pin wheel, forming part of the Banksy’s Dismaland exhibition of artworks. The installation process included, at times, complex lifting operations to insure the alignment of the adjoining sections. This project also included the dismantling and loading of the artworks prior to removal from site.
